Being green - for everyones sake.

Automotive workshops aren’t the greenest businesses, but we’re making a concerted effort where we can.

  • Scrap metal car parts

    Recycling what everyone does

Almost every workshop around will have their waste oil collected to be recycled and reused. The same goes for scrap metal, tyres and batteries. It’s a no brainer! Did you know that a typical lead acid battery is 95% recyclable?

  • Used engine oil containers

    Recycling what few do

Dealing with oil filters, coolants and used plastic oil containers is more difficult due to the cost and lack of recycling service providers. We’ve partnered with a service provider that has a dedicated facility to properly handle and recycle these items. In fact, our used oil containers are cleaned and then remanufactured into plastic posts used in the horticulture industry.

  • NZ native trees and river

    Trees to make a difference

Cars and the CO2 they produce have impact on climate change and our environment. We feel the best thing we can do to help positively offset this is to plant native trees. This is why every month we will fund at least 10 native tree planting through Trees That Count, and for every battery replaced we will plant an additional tree.

  • Storm water drain

    Educating our customers

Let’s face it, cars pollute. However a well maintained, well running car pollutes less. And, when your car’s leaking oil, that oil has the potential to contaminate storm water, streams and the ocean. We’re here to inform, educate and help you make decisions that will benefit you, your car and the environment.
